About Me

I grew up as an only child, and animals were never just pets to me, they were my companions, my teachers, and in many ways, my siblings. My dogs taught me about boundaries, communication, and respect long before I understood those words.

Horses deepened that understanding. Through training and competing in show jumping and dressage, I learned the importance of calm, consistent energy. Horses don’t respond to force, they respond to presence, and that lesson has stayed with me in every aspect of my work with dogs.

My journey continued into the veterinary world, where I worked as a veterinary care assistant. That experience strengthened my compassion and gave me a deeper understanding of animal welfare, health, and the emotional bond between animals and their owners.

Since 2018, I’ve been running my own dog walking business, working hands-on with a wide range of dogs, temperaments, and real-life situations. This has taught me how to read behaviour in the moment, adapt, and support dogs in a practical, everyday way, not just in theory.

Alongside this, I hold a diploma in counselling, which allows me to approach every owner without judgement. I understand that behind every dog is a human trying their best, and feeling heard and supported is just as important as the training itself.

Most recently, I completed a BCCS Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma with distinction, and gained invaluable experience shadowing Steve Hutley (Rehabilitation & Training).

Everything I’ve learned, from childhood to now, shapes the way I work: with empathy, clarity, and a focus on building trust between dogs and their owners.

“Behind every behaviour is a reason. Change the reason, and the behaviour follows”
